Our Volleyball Classes are designed to equip young athletes with the foundations and skills needed to become Volleyball players.

These Volleyball Classes focus on all aspects of the game with an emphasis on fundamentals, rules, and technical skills.

2024 Volleyball Spring Academy (2 months Intensive program during April & May)

FUNVOLLEYBALL ACADEMY PROGRAM (Monday 7-8 pm)

Designed to introduce the sport. Players will learn all the fundamentals of the game in a safe, fun way! Max. 20 Players.

Girls and Boys 7-10-year-old – $500 Total program. (Payment plan available)

NOVICE LEVEL

The Novice / beginner program is the perfect program for players with no experience of volleyball who want to learn all the fundamentals and basic skills of the game.

This program gives the players the exposure, play time and instructional guidance to learn and improve their fundamental skills and foul in love with Volleyball!

Players have 2 clinics per week. 1st day is training, 2nd day is playing and applying what they are learning.

Girls and Boys 11-13 years old. Max. 24 (COURT #1)   | Girls and Boys 14-16 years old. Max. 24 (COURT #2)

8 Training session and 6 scrimmages / no competitive games  – $995 per player. (Payment plan available)

8 TRAINING SESSIONS: Tuesday: 8:00-9:30 pm.

  • April: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd (NO CLASS ON THE 30th)

  • May: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

6 SCRIMMAGES / NO COMPETITIVE GAMES: Fridays: 7:00-8:15 pm.

  • April: 5th, 12th, 19th (NO CLASS ON THE 26th).

  • May:17th 24th, 31st, (NO CLASS ON THE,3rd, 10th )

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 

The Intermediate / beginner level is the perfect program for players with sports/volleyball basics and fundamentals and with the desire to continue the progression and improvement of volleyball skills. For players that still need help with proper form and technique.

This program gives the players the exposure, play time and instructional guidance to learn and improve their fundamental skills and fall in love with Volleyball!

Players have 2 clinics per week. The 1st day is training, the 2nd day is playing and applying what they learned.

Girls and Boys 11-13 years old. Max. 24 (COURT #1) | Girls and Boys 14-16 years old. Max. 24 (COURT #2)

ADVANCE LEVEL (Wednesday 8:30-10 pm)

Our Advance Beginner Academy program is for players with volleyball training and skills like: Ball Control, Bump/Pass, set accuracy, Spike, Block and Serve.

Players will get:
• A training plan designed to build their skills
• Consistent drills (individual, partners, groups) repetition of fundamental skills
• Coaches evaluations, Formative self-Assessment form, Summative Assessment form, Homework

Description: Ball control, passing and aiming to keep a rally, understanding the goal of the attack, score a point and improving the set, attack, and defense abilities.
• Follows Coaching Instructions: Discipline, Willing and desire to work out, Attention.
• Agility: Speed and Reaction, Knows where to be, Knows when to be.
• Athletic Skills: Ball Control, Bump/Pass, Set accuracy, Spike, Block and Serve.

Players will be exposed to team Concepts like: Offense and Defense, Zone Offense and Defense and Game time in each weekly session.

Girls and Boys 14-17 years old. Max. 24

ELITE HIGH-PERFORMANCE LEVEL (Thursday 8 – 10 pm)

(ONLY FOR PLAYER WITH CLUB OR VARSITY EXPERIENCE)

Our ELITE High Performance ACADEMY training classes are designed for students who have previous ADVANCE volleyball training or are currently playing in a COMPARATIVE CLUB TEAM.

The lessons are meant to complement the training that the players are receiving at their clubs and help elevate their game to new heights. (This program is open to players from different clubs).

Our goal is to help players polish their techniques for passing, hitting, defense, and setting. Coach OMAR will help the players strengthen their individual position and prepare them to compete at a high level in middle school, high school, club volleyball, and as they prepare for college volleyball.

Players will get:

• A training plan designed to build their skills
• Consistent drills (individual, partner, groups) repetition of fundamental skills
• Coaches evaluations, Formative self-Assessment form, Summative Assessment form, Homework, Individual goal setting & tracking
• Individual videos analysis and statistics analysis in order evaluate their breakdown skills.

Girls and Boys 13-15 years old. Max. 20 (COURT #1) | Girls and Boys 16-17 years old. Max. 20 (COURT #2)

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING (Monday 8 – 9 pm)

(Recommended to all levels)

Volleyball is a sport that requires strength, power, and endurance!

BVC Strength & Conditioning training program helps players to keep their body safe and getting into shape building muscle strength and preventing injuries and improving their volleyball performance.

Focusing on:

Endurance/Stamina and conditioning
Strength in the lower body
Ability and quickness
Power and explosiveness
Body control and awareness
Lateral strength and speed
Strength in upper body
Strength in the core.

Players will improve vertical jump, stamina, agility and increase in explosive power, flexibility and reaction, very important elements that increase the volleyball skills and performance.

Volleyball Classes at Bergen Volleyball Club

“VOLLEYBALL IS NOT SEASONAL and requires year-round training.”

BVC is one of the few clubs focusing on entry-level training early in the process. Eventually building to club level if that is the child’s desired path.

Offering year-round training is imperative to the success of building a child’s skill; your child has the opportunity to attend summer camps, after-school programs, and even private lessons.

Bergen Volleyball Club’s Academy programs are held year-round and include volleyball classes for beginners to intermedia level of skills.

Our program is a Development program where the players will learn and improving basic fundamental skills and rules of the game like.

We believe all players are important. We train them with heart and consistency to allow growth in the sport. This builds confidence, discipline, character.

In our Volleyball Classes, all aspects of the game will be taught with an emphasis on:

  • Motor skill development: Speed- Reaction- Ability and Power, Jump & Footwork.

  • Strength Training: Endurance, Plyometric exercises, Digging.

  • Space management: Block, Overhand Service, Hand-Eye-Feet coordination.

  • Technique: Passing/Defense (platform), Setting & Strategy.
